The number of shares for a new stake makes up for a percentage of the total shares. This percentage is not a constant and as more stakes are made the total pool of shares will grow. Same goes for if a stake is withdrawn, then the amount of total shares decreases. Thus the share percentage a staker has through their total sum of shares changes with time.

The Stake Share Percentage is calculated through the following equation:

Whereas SSP(Day) is the stake share percentage at the current day, Shares(StartDay) is the amount of shares the stake made up for on the day the stake was made and TotShares(Day) is the total amount of shares at the current day.

When payouts in the form of auction buybacks are made the staker share percentage is used to calculate said payout through the following equation:

Whereas PayoutAxn(Day) is the payout to the staker at the current day and TotalPayoutAxn(Day) is the total payout to stakers at the current day. These payouts are related to the auctions, so for more information on how those function please read the following article.

Staker Share Percentage is also used to calculate how many tokens stakers earn from Big Pay Days, for more information on how Big Pay Days function please read the following article.
